이번 조치로 후지산을 찾는 관광객들의 불편이 예상되며, 현지 언론에서는 입장료 인상에 대해 과도하다는 비판이 제기되고 있는데요, 일부에서는 입장료를 7,000엔(약 6만 원)까지 올려야 관광객을 줄일 수 있다는 분석도 나오고 있습니다.

Previously, visitors only had to pay 1,000 yen as the ‘Mount Fuji Preservation Cooperation Fee’. However, starting in July, visitors will need to pay 3,000 yen to enter. Additionally, a toll booth will be installed at the fifth station of the Yoshida Trail to collect the fee, and daily climbers will be limited to 4,000.

Moreover, from 4 PM to 3 AM the next day, entry will be prohibited except for those staying in mountain lodges. Officials explained that these measures are necessary to prevent overcrowding and to prepare evacuation shelters for potential eruptions.

This decision is expected to inconvenience tourists visiting Mount Fuji. Local media have criticized the fee increase as excessive, and some analysts suggest that the fee should be raised to 7,000 yen to effectively reduce the number of visitors.
