또한, “여름철에는 냉방 이용에 따른 환기 부족 등이 영향을 미친 걸로 보이며, 호흡기 감염 전파에 좋지 않았던 상황”이라면서도 “고위험군에는 독감만큼의 위험성은 가지고 있다”고 말했습니다.

To curb the spread of infections, health authorities plan to supply ample treatment options to pharmacies nationwide and provide over 5 million diagnostic kits. A representative from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency stated, “Although current patient numbers are about half of what they were last August, we expect weekly cases to rise to 350,000 by the end of August.”

The representative also noted, “The use of air conditioning during the summer has likely contributed to poor ventilation, which has negatively impacted the spread of respiratory infections,” while adding, “For high-risk groups, COVID-19 poses a similar level of danger as the flu.”
