120년 역사의 유명 사찰인 용화사가 템플스테이 수련관에 스크린골프장을 설치했다가 논란 끝에 철거했습니다. 

“템플스테이 참가자뿐 아니라 일부 스님들도 이 스크린 골프장을 이용해 왔다”는 증언이 나오면서, “불교의 수행과 골프라는 활동이 적절하지 않다”는 의견이 제기되기 되었는데요, 용화사 측은 이에 대해 “참가자들을 위한 대안 프로그램”이라고 해명했습니다. 

하지만 문화체육관광부는 제보를 확인한 후 “스크린 골프장이 템플스테이의 목적과 부합하지 않는다”고 판단해 철거를 지시했는데요, 현재 해당 스크린 골프장은 철거 된 상태입니다. 

Yonghwasa, a renowned temple with a 120-year history, installed a screen golf facility in its templestay training center but has since removed it following controversy.

Reports surfaced that not only templestay participants but also some monks had used the facility, sparking debate over whether golf is an appropriate activity for those engaged in Buddhist practice. In response, the temple explained that the facility was intended as an alternative program for participants.

However, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, upon verifying the reports, concluded that the screen golf facility did not align with the purpose of the templestay and ordered its removal. As of now, the screen golf facility has been dismantled.

拥有120年历史的著名寺庙龙华寺在其禅修院内安装了屏幕高尔夫设施，但在引发争议后已经将其拆除。

据报道，不仅是禅修参加者，一些僧人也曾使用过该设施，随之引发了关于高尔夫与佛教修行活动是否合适的讨论。对此，寺庙方面解释称，设施是为参与者提供的一项替代性活动。

然而，文化体育观光部在核实举报后认为，屏幕高尔夫设施与禅修的目的不符，随即下令拆除。目前，屏幕高尔夫设施已经被拆除。
