힌두스탄타임즈 따르면, 프랑스 저널리스트는 칼리프의 성별에 대한 진단이 포함된 의료 보고서를 입수했는데요, 해당 보고서에 칼리프는 내부 고환과 XY 염색체를 보유하고 있으며, 남성에게만 발견되는 5-알파 환원효소 결핍증을 가지고 있는 것으로 드러났습니다.

칼리프의 이러한 생물학적 특성은 프랑스 파리의 한 병원과 알제리의 병원 전문가들이 지난해 6월 작성한 보고서에 기록된 것으로 밝혀졌습니다. 

Imane Khelif, who won the gold medal in women’s boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has been embroiled in a gender controversy throughout the competition, and the debate has intensified with the leak of a medical report indicating she is biologically male.

According to the Hindustan Times, a French journalist obtained a medical report containing a diagnosis regarding Khelif's gender, revealing that she possesses internal testes and XY chromosomes, along with a deficiency of 5-alpha reductase, which is only found in men.

Khelif's biological characteristics were recorded in a report compiled last June by experts from a hospital in Paris, France, and a hospital in Algeria.
